Who we are
Our website address is: https://blog.shartech.cloud. We are the editorial arm of Shartech, dedicated to providing insights, tutorials, and updates on cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We believe in “data minimization.” We only collect the information necessary to provide you with a great reading experience or to respond to your inquiries.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact Forms & Newsletters
If you reach out via a contact form or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. We use this strictly to communicate with you. We hate spam as much as you do, and we will never sell your contact info to third-party “leads” databases.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
How we protect your data
Being part of a cloud-focused organization, we take security seriously. We use encrypted connections (SSL) and follow industry-standard server hardening practices to ensure that the data we do store is protected from unauthorized access.
Analytics
We use basic analytics to understand which blog posts are most helpful to our readers. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It helps us decide whether we should write more about “Cloud Security” or “Bare Metal Servers.”
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments or signed up for our newsletter, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
